Production
The Extrafrutas born in the second half of the last century, a family traditionally linked to fruit production, being situated in the west, in the middle region of Controlled Origin Denomination of Rocha Pear.
Commercialization
Initially purely for the production, subsequently broadened its activity also in marketing, having initially devoted his attention solely to the internal market.
Internationalization
Later, as with Gilberto and Lucinda Franco in charge and within a business development project - through agreements with other producers who undertake to respect their quality standards - the Extrafrutas embarked internationalization and today one of the 10 largest exporters Portuguese Rocha Pear.
The West Rocha Pear enjoys the designation DOP - Protected Origin Denomination
